Cath's Farm Shop is an established family owned business. It all started back in, 1992 when we took over an existing agricultural supplies. Whilst we have always maintained an active interest in continuing to supply the farming community, obviously the equine sector has grown tremendously over the years.

The shop at Trelewis has expanded greatly with numerous products being stocked. We recently opened up another room carrying both children's and adult riding wear, riding and skull hats, men's working boots and outdoor clothing.

We continue to expand our feeds and have just started stocking Red Mills and the Creature Comforts range of natural fibre based products. Castle Horse Feeds is always popular with their quality, competitively priced range. We also supply Spillers, Dodson & Horrell, Allen & Page, Dengie, Baileys and Horsehage, with the list of different feeds seeming endless only the most popular lines can be stocked but we can usually get a particular product in within 7 working days.

Cath writes:

"The shop is managed by myself with my cousin Gwyn assisting with warehousing and servicing customers. My brother Jonathan joined us in October 2004 and is mainly involved in collecting from suppliers and also delivering, whilst still trying to manage our farming enterprise. My mother Margaret is also active within the business and loves nothing better than being able to talk to all our different customers.

I myself have learnt many things over the 14 years I have been in business, from nutrition, health and welfare to stable management. Whilst you never stop learning, I feel I am able to give helpful and unbiased advice to customers."

• We have been selling wormers and P.M.L. products since 1994 and we stock a full range of cat, dog, horse, cattle and sheep products.

• We also stock an expansive range of dog foods - dry, tinned and frozen.

• Poultry supplies, drinkers, feeders, supplements and infrared lamps.

• Fencing, stock fence, barb wire, posts, staples.

• Stable door fittings gate hinges, kick over bolts, pig bolts, coach screws, nails, tie rings, also different gauges of chain by the metre.

• Stable equipment, yard brooms, manure forks, plastic shovels, shavings forks, wooden replacement handles.

• Buckets water, feed, tubtrugs, portable mangers, corner manger, hayracks.

• Rugs - stable, summer, travel, sweat, winter outdoor.

• Animal bedding - shavings, paper, flax and small bale straw
